Locate the "L" shaped plastic access cover at the rear left corner of the glove box.

Gently press in the tab on the right side of the cover to release the retaining clip.

Inspect both sides of the old air filter.

If the old air filter is dark grey or black and clogged with dirt, dust, insects, leaves, pollen, hair, twigs, soot and other debris, it should be replaced with a new element.

I recommend buying the Fram CF10285 "Fresh Breeze" cabin air filter since it has excellent reviews on Amazon. I also like how they have Arm & Hammer baking soda and carbon in the filter to help absorb odors.

If the old filter is relatively clean, you can just tap out the large debris and remove any fine dust with a vacuum cleaner.

If the new filter has an "UP" arrow, be sure to orientate the filter with the arrow pointing up towards the windshield.

Slide the new filter in to the slot until it is fully seated.
