This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the 2nd generation (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015)
Hyundai Tucson SUV in changing the windshield window wiper blades. Owners of other Hyundai and Kia vehicles such as the Accent, Elantra, Sonata, Azera, Veloster, Tiburon, Genesis, Lavita, Veracruz, Santa Fe, ix35, Equus, Cadenza, Forte, Optima, Rio, Soul, Sedona, Sorento, Spectra and Sportage may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The front windshield window wiper blades are the following sizes in inches: Driver Side 24" and Passenger Side 16". Replacement compatible wiper blades with their part numbers are as follows: Bosch 24A & Bosch 16A, Anco 31-24 & Anco 31-16, Trico 24-1 & 16-1, ACDelco 8-124 & ACDelco 8-116 and Rain-X 5079280-1 & Rain-X 5079274-1. |

Press In Release Tab |
Slide Bracket Off Hook |
Pull Blade Off Arm |
The first step is
to raise the wiper arm off the windshield until it remains in that position
by itself. Rotate the old wiper blade away from the metal arm at a slight angle. Press in the small black plastic release tab towards the metal wiper arm. Slide the plastic mounting bracket in the center of the old wiper blade down and out of the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm. Rotate the old wiper blade until it is perpendicular (90 degree angle) with the wiper arm. Pass the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm through the opening in the old wiper blade. |

Place a towel on
the windshield to protect the glass from being cracked, chipped or shattered
just in case the metal wiper arm smacks down on to the window while you are
replacing the blade. I recommend buying the Bosch 24A and Bosch 16A wiper blades since they have excellent reviews on Amazon. Line up the metal hook at the end of the wiper arm with the opening in the center of the new wiper blade. Pass the metal hook through the opening and rotate the wiper blade towards the metal wiper arm. |

New Blade Secure |
Rotate Blade Parallel To Arm |
Lower Wiper Arm To Window |
Slide the plastic
mounting bracket in the center of the new wiper blade up in to the metal
hook. Make sure that the mounting bracket clicks securely in to place. Rotate the new wiper blade until it is parallel with the wiper arm. Gently lower the wiper arm down to the windshield. For the best wiper performance, I recommend thoroughly cleaning off the windshield and applying a window treatment product such as Rain-X. For more,
