This
automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners
of the 6th generation (2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014) Hyundai Sonata in
replacing a key fob battery. Owners of other Hyundai or Kia vehicles such as the Elantra, Accent, Veloster, Tucson, Santa Fe, Veracruz, Genesis, Forte, Optima, Rio, Soul, Sedona, Sorento, Tiburon and Sportage may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. A replacement coin cell (A.K.A. button or watch) battery for the Hyundai Sonata key fobs is part # CR2032.It is available from various manufacturers such as Duracell, Energizer, Panasonic, GE, Sony and Maxell. The only tool needed to change the battery is a small flathead screwdriver. You may also be able to use a coin, butter knife or other similar item to pry apart the two halves of the fob. |
