This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the fifth generation (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015)
GM Chevrolet Camaro in changing a burnt out license plate light bulb
in the rear bumper cover or upgrading both lights to brighter LED
bulbs. Owners of other General Motors vehicles such as the Spark, Cruze, Malibu, Sonic, Impala, Traverse, Tahoe, Trax, SS, GMC Terrain, Acadia, Yukon, Buick Verano, Regal, LaCrosse, Encore, Enclave and the Holden Barina may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. A replacement license plate light bulb is part number 2825 which is available from various manufacturers such as Sylvania, GE, Eiko or PIAA. If you would like to have brighter license plate lights, install some compatible 2825 LED bulbs. (You can also use a # 168 or W5W bulb.) The only tool needed to change the bulbs is a small flathead screwdriver used to release the light housings. |
