A work function brought me to this pricey Ritz Carlton Hotel located on the world famous “South Beach” area of Miami Beach, Florida. Click on the link below for my hotel review and some pictures.
For our 2005-2006 New Year’s Eve celebration, my friends and I visited downtown Fort Lauderdale Florida. The Las Olas Riverfront area is full of a variety of bars, clubs, and restaurants. During the night, we partied at Brick, Automatic Slims, Rush Street, Art Bar and the Voodoo Lounge.
In search of more horsepower, my brother has installed a Borla high performance exhaust system on to his 1994 Ford Mustang Cobra. Now this American muscle car has a deeper exhaust note and a generous helping of extra HP and torque.
Recently I went to the Epping Forest Yacht Club located on St. John’s River in Jacksonville Florida. This historic mansion was built in 1926 by American industrialist Alfred I. duPont.
Another stop on our Naples Florida trip was to visit the Pelican Landing Island Beach Park. Guests of the Hyatt hotel and residents of the Pelican Landing community can access the exclusive island beach via a water taxi.
Bonita Springs Beach Park is located in Bonita Springs Florida, just north of Naples, FL. We spent an afternoon at this white sand beach watching the sun set into the Gulf of Mexico.
The only other time I had been to Markham Park in Sunrise Florida was for a 94.9 Zeta rock concert. I took a drive through the park and snapped some pictures of the various amenities.
This past weekend my brother helped me replace two worn wheel bearing hub assemblies on my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix, a General Motors product.
Well, actually I mostly took pictures while he replaced the wheel hubs. But I wrote a helpful guide for anyone who owns an E-Body or W-Body GM sedan.
This fun little science experiment was picked up at a museum’s gift shop. It consists of a blotter paper tree and some “magic” liquid that creates the crystals as it absorbed by the tree and evaporates on the branches.
I recently went to Gainesville Florida to visit my brother and a couple of old college buddies. I took pictures of the University of Florida Campus, the UF Bat House, Student Agricultural Gardens, Lake Alice, and Devil’s Millhopper.
