2003-2008 Toyota Corolla ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) Change Guide

The owner’s manual for my wife’s  car states that the 9th generation (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008) Toyota Corolla has “lifetime” ATF (automatic transmission fluid) that should never need to changed under normal driving conditions. I’ve waited until just over 115,000 miles to perform a simple drain and refill of the transmission fluid since the vehicle has been driving and shifting perfectly the past decade. It was such a simple procedure to change about 50% of the fluid that I plan on doing this preventative automotive maintenance procedure again every 2 years or every 15,000 to 20,000 miles on both our 2005 Corolla and my 2010 Corolla.
