| The Barnacle
Historic State Park is located in the upscale neighborhood of Miami
known as Coconut Grove.
Dade County's oldest home resides on
this five acre site that overlooks the scenic Biscayne Bay. It was
built by Commodore Raplh Middleton Munroe in 1891.
This attraction is situated at 3845
Main Highway not far from the
CocoWalk Shopping Center in Coconut Grove, FL.
The Barnacle is open to the public from
9 AM to 5 PM. Tours of the house are given at 10 AM, 11:30 AM, 1 PM
and 2:30 PM. The park is closed on Tuesdays, New Year's Day, Christmas
Day and Thanksgiving Day.
Admission into The Barnacle is just
$1.00 per person over the age of 6. Parking is available along Main
Highway and the other side streets in the area. |
