Miraflores Visitor Center

During our visit to Panama, we took a Panama City Tour with "Your Man In Panama" Tours, which included a stop at the Miraflores Locks Visitor Center to see the Panama Canal.

Since I took so many pictures during our visit, I split them up into two galleries. This gallery covers just the exhibitions inside the Panama Canal Museum.

The Miraflores Locks Visitor Center is open every day of the week including holidays from 9 AM to 5 PM. Tickets can be purchased from 9 AM to 4:30 PM at a cost of $8 for non-resident adults.

Any taxi driver can get you here in about 15 to 20 minutes from downtown Panama City. Miraflores Locks was also pre-programmed in our rental car's Garmin GPS unit.

Antique Cargo Ship

The Panama Canal Museum inside the Miraflores Locks Visitor Center contains four main exhibition halls which are the History Hall, the Hall of Water: Source of Life, the Canal In Action Hall, and the Canal In The World Hall.
