The club's creators, The Opium Group, are responsible for some of South Florida's most well known nightlife hot spots such as Mansion, SET, Louis, and Prive.

A few of the features of Opium Nightclub include elaborate lightshows, cabaret style dancers, a theatrical entryway, a 19th century Chinese warrior statue, cherry blossom trees, a red carpet, velvet seating, a golden Buddha statue, Shangri-la style lanterns, French flock wallpapers, Swarovski crystal chandeliers, Andy Warhol's pop art, Asian silk lanterns, a French Boudoir room, and multiple VIP areas.
