This
automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners
of the 1st generation 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012 Nissan Versa hatchback in replacing a
burnt out cargo area light bulb. Owners of other related vehicles such as the Nissan Tiida, Latio, Cube, Leaf, Rogue, Murano, Xterra, Note, Micra, Wingroad, Grand Livina, Pulsar, Sunny, Almera, Aprio, Platina, Dodge Trazo, Dacia Logan, Sandero, Renault Clio, Modus, Twingo and the Nissan Grand Livina may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. A replacement cargo area light bulb is part # DE3022 from various manufacturers such as Sylvania, GE, Eiko, and Putco.You can also use a brighter DE3022 LED bulb. The only tool needed to replace the bulb is a small flathead screwdriver. Insert the blade of the screwdriver in to the rear (left) edge of the housing and gently pry it out. |

Remove Power Connector |
Pop Off Bulb Cover |
Press the release
tab on the power connector and pull it straight off the cargo area light
bulb housing. Gently pop off the light grey bulb cover on the rear of the housing. |

Press On Metal Tab |
Old DE3022 Bulb |
Press outward on the metal tab to dislodge the old bulb from the socket. | |

Trunk/Cargo Bulb Housing |
Push In New DE 3022 Bulb |
Push a new #
DE3022 light bulb into the socket until it snaps in place. If you are installing an LED bulb and it doesn't work at first, try flipping it around 180 degrees in the socket. |

Snap On Bulb Cover |
Line up the light grey bulb cover over the rear of the housing and snap it in place. | |
Re-Attach Power Connector |
Re-Insert Power Housing |
Push the power plug
back on to the light bulb housing. First insert the power connector back into the cargo area plastic panel and then snap the other side of the housing back in place. |

Cargo Light Housing Installed |
Test New Cargo Area Bulb |
Test the new cargo
