This automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners of the 1st generation 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012 Nissan Versa hatchback or sedan in replacing a burnt out overhead dome light bulb in the passenger cabin.

Owners of other related vehicles such as the Nissan Tiida, Latio, Cube, Leaf, Sentra, Altima, Maxima, Rogue, Murano, Xterra, Note, Micra, Wingroad, Grand Livina, Pulsar, Sunny, Almera, Aprio, Platina, Dodge Trazo, Dacia Logan, Sandero, Renault Clio, Modus, Twingo and the Nissan Grand Livina may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

A replacement dome light bulb is part # DE3175 from various manufacturers such as Sylvania, GE, Eiko, and Putco.

You can also use a brighter DE3175 LED bulb.

The only tool needed to replace the bulb is a small flathead screwdriver.

Use the screwdriver to gently pry out the translucent lens cover.

Install the new # DE3175 light bulb by first inserting the left (driver) side of the bulb into the socket and then push the right (passenger) side in until the metal retaining tab snaps in place.

If you are installing an LED bulb and it doesn't work at first, it might be polarized. Try flipping it around 180 degrees in the socket.
