This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the eighth generation (2016, 2017, 2018 and probably also the 2019 and 2020 model years) Nissan Maxima sports sedan in changing a burnt out low beam, high beam, front turn signal and side marker light bulb in the headlight housings.

Owners of other Nissan or Infiniti vehicles such as the Versa, Altima, Juke, Rogue, Rogue Sport, Murano, Xterra, Pathfinder, Sentra, Cube, Armada, Leaf, Quest, Frontier, 370Z, GT-R, Titan, Kicks, NV, NV200, G25, G37, M35 and M37 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

The compatible replacement light bulb part numbers are as follows: Low Beam # H11, High Beam # H9, Front Turn Signal # 7444NA and Front Side Marker # 2825 (or W5W).

The tools needed to complete this procedure include a standard Phillips head screwdriver and a flathead screwdriver.

The low beam headlight bulbs can be accessed by partially removing the wheel well liner.

For easier access to the wheel well liner, turn the steering wheel all the way in the opposite direction of the burnt out low beam headlight bulb.

Look under the front bumper cover and locate the single Phillips head screw at the rear corner.

Remove the screw by turning it in the counterclockwise direction with the Phillips head screwdriver.

Set the screw aside in a safe place.

Gently pull back the black plastic wheel well liner.

You may choose to bend the liner and wedge it against the tire to hold it in place.

Once the wheel well liner is out of the way, you'll be able to access the base of the old low beam light bulb on the rear of the headlight assembly.
