This guide applies to the 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 Nissan Altima Sedan.

The low beam headlight bulb part number is H1.

The high beam bulb is part number 9005 and the front turn signal is an 1157.

1. Remove the two 10mm bolts that hold the coolant overflow bottle to the passenger side of the car.

Then there is bracket that is held down by one of the 10mm bolts you just removed and another 10mm bolt.

Remove the last remaining bolt and remove the bracket.

2. Now you have access to the bulbs including the head light bulb. If you're not sure which is which, go turn on lights and make a note.
The headlight bulb has a big white circular cover. Twist the circular cover about a quarter of a turn and pull it off.

3. Pop the metal pin that holds the bulb in and raise up and out of the way.

4. Pull the connecting metal spade on the old bulb from the wire and install the new one.

DO NOT touch the new bulb with bare hands.
If you do get the new bulb dirty, wipe it clean with a paper towel and some rubbing alcohol.

Put the clip back down and make sure that the clip is silver and not white from corrosion.

5. Test the new bulb.

If it does not work, try cleaning the metal clip that makes the negative (black wire) connection with a nail file or sand paper.

6. Put everything back together and enjoy!
