The protest took place directly in front of the Torch of Friendship on Biscayne Boulevard. A raspy voiced woman on a PA system kept shouting out the names of central and south American countries as the crowd cheered for each one. "Cuba!!, Cuba!!, Cuba!!, Uruguay!!, Uruguay!!" Well, you get the point. |

The protesters carried both American flags and flags from Argentina, Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and other nations. Some had signs that read "Latinos Unidos - Somos Ilegales, No Crimanales", which means "Latinos United, We're illegals, not criminals." |

| On the drive back to her place in Coral Gables, she snapped a picture of the Star Island sign and the "Welcome to Miami Beach" sign. We took Alton Rd. back to A1A to go back home and relax. | ||||
