This automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners of the 2nd generation 2008 to 2012 Jeep Liberty in replacing a burnt out combination low/high beam headlight, front turn signal or front side marker bulb.

Owners of other Jeep, Dodge or Chrysler vehicles such as the Cherokee, Compass, Patriot, Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Grand Caravan, Nitro, Dart, Avenger, Challenger, Durango, Journey, Charger, Town & Country, 300, and 200 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

Replacement bulbs with their respective part numbers are as follows: High & Low Beam # H13 or 9008, Front Turn Signal # 3757A, and Front Sidemarker # 168.

The only tool needed to replace any of the headlight bulbs is a standard flathead screwdriver.

Try to avoid getting the glass part of the new halogen bulb dirty by touching it with your fingers or anything greasy in the engine bay. If you do get the bulb dirty, wipe it clean with an alcohol moistened paper towel before installing it.

Turn on the headlights and flash the high beams to test the new bulb or bulbs.

To access the front turn signal and front side marker bulbs, first turn the steering wheel all the way to the opposite side of the burnt out bulb(s). This will allow for more room to work behind the wheel well liner.
