This automotive "how-to" guide was specifically written to assist owners of the sixth generation (2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014) Hyundai Sonata in replacing the low beam, high beam and turn signal light bulbs in the headlight assemblies.

Owners of other Hyundai or Kia vehicles such as the Elantra, Accent, Veloster, Tucson, Santa Fe, Veracruz, Genesis, Forte, Optima, Rio, Soul, Sedona, Sorento and Sportage may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

Replacement headlight bulbs from Sylvania and other manufacturers are as follows with their respective part numbers: Low Beam # H7, High Beam # H7, and Front Turn Signal # 2357A.

No tools are needed to replace either the low beam or high beam headlight bulbs.

A small Phillips head screwdriver is needed to access the turn signal / parking light bulb.

The Turn Signal or "parking" light bulb is located at the outer corner of the headlight assembly.

If you have small enough hands, you may be able to remove the turn signal light bulb by reaching in through the engine bay, feel for the socket that resembles an easy open medicine bottle and rotate it 1/4 turn counter clockwise.

Most people will find it easier to access the turn signal bulb through the wheel well liner.

Turn the wheels in the opposite direction of the burnt out turn signal bulb to allow more working room.
