This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the first generation (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016) GMC Acadia in changing a burnt out fog light bulb in the front bumper cover.

Owners of other General Motors vehicles such as the Buick Verano, Regal, LaCrosse, Cascada, Encore, Enclave, Envision, GMC Canyon, Sierra 1500, Terrain, Yukon, Denali, Savana, Spark, Sonic, Cruze, Malibu, Impala, Volt, Camaro, Corvette, SS, Trax, Equinox, Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban, Colorado, Silverado and Express may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

A replacement halogen fog light bulb is part number H11 which is available from various manufacturers such as Sylvania, GE, PIAA and Eiko.

There are also brighter H11 LED bulbs available.

The only tool needed to access and replace the fog light bulbs is a Torx T20 star bit screwdriver.

Remove 3rd Screw
The first step is to turn the steering wheel all the way in the opposite direction of the burnt out fog light bulb.

Turning the front wheels will create more working room in the wheel well for you to access the fog light bulb housing.

Remove the four screws along the outer edge of the black plastic wheel well liner by turning them counterclockwise with a Torx T-20 star bit screwdriver.
