of the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016 GM Chevrolet Traverse crossover
SUV in replacing a burnt out license plate light bulb or upgrading

A replacement license plate light bulb is part # 194 from manufacturers such as Sylvania, Wagner, PIAA and GE. You may also use any other miniature wedge base bulbs such as # 168, W5W, 2825 or a compatible LED unit. No tools are needed to replace either of the license plate bulbs. |

Pull Out Old Bulb |
Detach the license plate light bulb housing by gently pulling it away from the vehicle. It should pop right off. If not, you may need to use a small flathead screwdriver to pry out the side closest to the license plate. Rotate the light grey light bulb socket 1/4 turn counter clockwise and pull it straight out of the housing. Pull the old light bulb straight out of the socket and push in a new # 194 bulb. If necessary, you can also use any other miniature wedge base bulbs such as the # 168, W5W, 2825 or a compatible LED unit. |

Re-Insert Housing |
Test New License Bulbs |
Insert the socket
back into the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to lock it in place. Insert the edge of the housing that is furthest from the license plate first and then snap the clip on the other edge in place. Test the new license plate light bulb(s) by turning on the headlights. For more,
