Overhead Map Light Bulbs Replacement Guide
How to replace
the overhead map light bulbs in a 2006 to 2012 Ford Fusion with picture
illustrated instructions.

| Insert the blade of
the small flathead screw driver in between the translucent map light lens
cover and the edge of the overhead console. Gently pry out the lens cover
without using excessive force. To help avoid causing damage, cover the screw
driver with a tissue or paper towel. Grasp the old bulb with your thumb and forefinger to pull it out from its socket. If your old bulb has a round metal base than it is part # 3886X bayonet style (BA9S) base. If your old map light bulb looks like the one shown above in Picture # 6, then it can be replaced with a # 168, # 192 or # 194 bulb. |

| Push a new bulb straight into the socket and test it by pressing the black/white plastic button. | ||||

| Insert the lens
cover back over the map light bulb and gently snap it in place. Test the new
bulb again by pressing the black button. For more,
