This automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the "new" Type 312 (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015) Fiat 500 supermini compact car in changing the rear window wiper blade.

Owners of other Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM vehicles such as the 4C, Giulia, 200, 300, Town & Country, Challenger, Charger, Dart, Durango, Journey, Grand Caravan, Compass, Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, Renegade, Cherokee, Patriot, 1500, C/V Tradesman and ProMaster may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful.

The OEM rear wiper blade size is 12 inches.

A few compatible replacement 12" wiper blades with their part number are as follows: Trico 12-A or 12A, Michelin 9512, Bosch H307 (3397011429) and Valeo R-12E.

No tools are required to replace the rear wiper blade.

The first step is to pull open the hinged cover on the base of the wiper arm.

Lift the wiper arm off the rear window until it remains in the raised position by itself.

Rotate the old wiper blade away from the wiper arm at a slight angle.

I recommend buying the Trico 12-A rear wiper blade since it has great reviews on Amazon.

Line up the mounting bar in the center of the new wiper blade with the "C" shaped socket at the end of the wiper arm.

The rubber blade should be pointing away from the back window.

Insert the mounting bar in to the "C" shaped socket.
