This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Dodge Dart in changing a
burnt out cargo area light bulb in the trunk. Owners of other Chrysler, Dodge and RAM vehicles such as the Town & Country, 300, 200, Avenger, Charger, Journey, Challenger, Durango, Grand Caravan, and Ram C/V Tradesman minivan may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. A replacement bulb is part number 562 or 567 which are available from various manufacturers including Sylvania, GE, Eiko and PIAA. Other "rigid loop" base bulbs that should be compatible include the # 561, 564, 212-2 and a 44mm LED strip. The only tool needed to access and replace the bulb is a small flathead screwdriver used to pry out the light housing. |

Pull Out Old Light Bulb |
The first two steps
are to open the trunk lid and then locate the trunk light bulb housing on
the roof of the cargo area. Insert a small flathead screwdriver in to the notch on the left (driver) side of the housing and gently pry it out. Press in the release tab on the electrical connector before sliding the plug straight out of its socket. If the trunk light was recently turned on, be careful since old bulb might still be hot enough to burn your fingers. Carefully unhook the old rigid loop base bulb from the two metal hooks. |

Insert a new #

Tip - If you are installing an LED bulb and it doesn't work at first, try removing the bulb and flipping it around in its socket. |
