The "Hole In The Rock" Marzen Oktoberfest style beer was modeled after the Bavarian beers that were served at the Oktoberfest event held in Munich, which were re-created by German settlers in the Ohio Valley.
Hole In The Rock was named after an infamous cave contained tavern created by Jim Wilson known as Wilson's Liquor Vault and House of Entertainment.
This beer has an amber color with a pleasantly sweet caramel like malt aroma. It has a dry aftertaste with a well rounded finish to it. I haven't tasted many marzen style beers but this seems a bit bland in comparison but still very enjoyable.
