During my most
recent excursion to the lovely state of Georgia to check out the NOPI
Nationals 2006 Import Car Show, an old college roommate invited me up to
Atlanta for a visit. He took me on a driving city tour of the beautiful downtown Atlanta area and then to his place of employment for a special CNN VIP Behind the Scenes Studio Tour. During the tour, we drove past the Coca Cola Skyscraper building, the CNN Center, the Atlanta Falcons Stadium, Zoo Atlanta, the home where Margaret Mitchell wrote "Gone With The Wind", Atlanta Cyclorama, the Georgia Aquarium, Stone Mountain Skyscraper, Piedmont Park, the Governor's Mansion and the venues that hosted the 1996 Olympics. To get a better view of the downtown Atlanta Skyline, my friend suggested that we take a ride up to the top of the Omni Hotel tower that is attached to the CNN Center skyscraper building. |
