Key Fob Battery Change

After a few years of daily use, the battery inside the key fob remote control for the keyless entry system of a third generation (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018) Hyundai Santa Fe can become weak or stop working entirely.

The third generation Hyundai Santa Fe is equipped with two dome lights (also known as the rear passenger courtesy reading lights) in a housing attached to the headliner just above the second row of seats.

If the A/C system in your third generation (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and most likely also the revised 2017 model year) Hyundai Santa Fe hasn't been working as well recently or the air coming out of the vents smells a bit musty or moldy, you probably need to clean or replace the cabin air filter element in the HVAC blower motor housing.
