on a 2nd generation 2015 to 2019 Ford Edge with the part numbers.

This automotive
maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist owners of the second
generation 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and probably also the updated 2019,
2020, 2021 and 2022 model years of the Ford Edge SUV in changing the rear
wiper blade on the back windshield window. Owners of other Ford and Lincoln vehicles such as the Escape, Expedition, EcoSport, Flex, Explorer, Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, Mustang, Taurus, Ranger, Transit Connect, F-150, Endura, C-Max, Kuga, Mondeo, MKZ, Navigator, Aviator, Nautilus and Continental may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The OEM rear wiper blade size in inches is 15". A few compatible replacement replacement rear wiper blades with their part numbers include the following: Bosch A380H, Trico 15-G and Anco AR15G. No tools are needed to remove and replace the blade. The first step is to gently raise the wiper arm off the back window. |

"C" Shaped Socket |
Place your fingers
in between the old wiper blade the and black plastic wiper arm.
Firmly pull the old wiper blade straight away from the wiper arm. You will feel the "C" shaped socket in the center of the old wiper blade pop off the mounting bar at the end of the wiper arm. In the picture above, you can see a close up shot of the "C" shaped socket or bracket in the center of the wiper blade. |

Towel Protect Glass |
|
Place a towel on
the back windshield to protect the glass from being scratched, shattered,
cracked or chipped just in case the wiper arm smacks down on to the window
while you are replacing the wiper blade. I recommend buying the Bosch A380H rear wiper blade since it has excellent reviews on Amazon. The original OEM wiper blade from Ford is part number FT4Z17528D (also known as FT4Z-17528-D or FT4Z 17528 D). |

Line Up New Wiper Blade |
Pop Bar Into Socket |
|
Line up the new
wiper blade with the wiper arm.
The rubber blade should be pointing towards the window. Firmly push the "C" shaped socket in the center of the new wiper blade over the black plastic mounting bar near the end of the wiper arm. You should feel and / or hear the socket "click" securely over the mounting bar. |
||
Snap Blade Onto Arm |
Lower Blade To Window |
|
Double check that
the new wiper blade is securely attached to the wiper arm. Gently lower the wiper blade down to the window. For the best wiper performance, I recommend thoroughly cleaning off the window and applying a glass treatment product that will repel water such as Rain-X. Be sure to record the blade change in your vehicle's service records.
