How to change a burnt out overhead map
light bulb in a 2nd generation 2015, 2016 & 2017 Chrysler 200 sedan.

| This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the second generation 2015, 2016 and 2017 Chrysler 200
sedan in changing a burnt out map light bulb in the overhead
console attached to the headliner. Owners of other Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM or Fiat vehicles such as the 300, Pacifica, Town & Country, Avenger, Charger, Challenger, Journey, Dart, Durango, Magnum, Grand Caravan, Fiat 500, Fiat 124 Spider, Grand Cherokee, Renegade, Wrangler, Compass, Liberty, Patriot, ProMaster, 1500 and C/V Tradesman minivan may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The compatible replacement miniature wedge base light bulb part number is 2825 (or W5W). There also brighter 2825 LED bulb options available. The only tool needed to access and change the map light bulbs is a small flathead screwdriver or a plastic pry bar tool. |

| To prevent from
scratching the plastic surfaces, I recommend either covering the tip of your
screwdriver with a thin micro fiber cloth or use a plastic pry bar tool. Insert the blade of your tool in between the front edge of the lens cover (near the windshield) and gently pry it out. You may need to re-insert the tool in to the outer edge of the lens cover and pry again to fully remove the lens cover. Try to avoid using excessive force. The lens cover should pop out relatively easily. Be careful when you remove the old light bulb. If it was recently turned on, it might still be hot enough to burn your fingers. Grasp the old light bulb with your thumb and forefinger before pulling it straight out of the socket. |

| Push a new
miniature wedge base bulb such as the
2825 (also known as the "W5W") straight in to the socket. If you would like to have brighter map lights, choose a compatible replacement LED bulb. Test the new light bulb by pressing the black plastic "On/Off" switch. |

| Line up the lens
cover with the light housing on the overhead console. First, re-insert the two tabs on the rear edge of the lens cover (closest to the windshield). Then gently snap in the other side of the lens cover. Double check that both map lights work by pressing the "On/Off" switches. For more,
