Old Light Bulb Exposed |
The first step is
to flip open the mirror cover. To prevent from scratching the plastic surfaces, I recommend either using a plastic pry bar tool or cover the tip of your screwdriver with a thin micro fiber cloth. Insert the blade of the screwdriver in between the side of the translucent plastic lens cover and the light housing. Gently pry off the lens cover. You may need to re-insert the tool in to the other side to fully release the cover. Try to avoid using excessive force. The lens cover should pop off relatively easily. Set the lens cover aside in a safe place. |

Gently Pry Out Old Bulb |

Be careful when you
remove the old light bulb.
If the old bulb was recently turned on, it might still be hot enough to burn your fingers. Either pull out the old light bulb with your fingers or very gently pry out one of the metal end caps with the screwdriver. The OEM light bulb in this 2016 Rogue was marked as part number 14V1.5CP. |
