This
automotive maintenance tutorial was specifically written to assist
owners of the seventh generation (2013, 2014, 2015 and maybe also
the refreshed 2016 and 2017 model years) Nissan Sentra sedan in
changing a burnt out low beam, high beam, front turn signal or side
marker light bulb in the headlight housings. Owners of other Nissan or Infiniti vehicles such as the Versa, Maxima, Juke, Rogue, Altima, Xterra, Pathfinder, Murano, Cube, Armada, Leaf, Quest, Frontier, Teana, 370Z, GT-R, Titan, G25, G37, M35, QX56, QX60 and M37 may also find these DIY instructions to be helpful. The replacement light bulbs with their part numbers are as follows: Low Beam # H11, High Beam # H9, Front Turn Signal # 7442NA (or 7444NA) and Side Marker # 194. The tools needed to access and replace the headlight bulbs include a 10mm socket with a 1/4" drive ratcheting wrench and a flathead screwdriver. |

10mm Bolt Removed |
The first step is
to open the hood. In order to access the rear of the headlight housings and the light bulbs, you'll need to remove the large black plastic panel that covers the front of the engine bay. It is also referred to as the "radiator shroud" or radiator cover. Remove the single 10mm bolt on the driver side and also the passenger side of the panel by rotating them counterclockwise. Set the two 10mm bolts aside in a safe place. |

A dirty halogen bulb will have a shorter useful life. If you do get the bulb dirty, wipe it clean with an alcohol moistened paper towel. I found it easier to push the power plug on to the base of the new high beam bulb and then insert it in to the housing. Install the new high beam bulb in to the housing and rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise to secure it in place. |

Re-insert the side
