996 Sportbike Motorcycle
Pictures of a friend's 2001 Ducati 996
Italian made sport bike motorcycle including model information and specs.
This 2001 Ducati 996 is an updated version of the original iconic Ducati 916 Italian V-twin sportbike motorcycle. Ducati built the" 916" model from 1994 to 1998, the "996" model from 1999 to 2002, and the final "998" variation from 2002 to 2004. I personally much prefer the styling of the Ducati 916/996/998 sportbike motorcycles such as the yellow Monoposto (single seat) on this page. Massimo Tamburini is the talented Italian motorcycle designer responsible for these three instantly recognizable series of bikes. From 2003 to 2006, Ducati produced the differently styled Ducati 999 sportbike designed by Pierre Terblanche. |

transmission, Brembo brakes, a Showa suspension, and a tubular steel trellis
